All in a Day’s Work

2013-12-06 16.40.32In the immortal words of William Shakespeare “to bark or not to bark. Silly question” OK maybe those aren’t his exact words but they should have been. As dogs we are our family’s early warning and home security system. While many families relay on electronic systems that are prone to failure or will not work when the power is off. We dogs don’t fail. We can hear danger approaching from half a block away. no one dares risk life or limb to hurt our family because we are on the job. Even the evil mailman never attempts to cross through our doorway with us there warning him of the danger. My family is safe because we are always on the job.

Daddy keeps trying to tell us that we don’t need to bark at the mailman. I know we must be ever valiant in our tasks. Evils like the mailman need only win once while we dogs must win ever battle. Maybe daddy is right about the mailman maybe he is a good man forced by his evil masters to do bad things. However, better safe than sorry. I will always be on guard just in case. Better safe than sorry I say.
